If all you're trying to do is add extra headphones to the DVD player (and I know that was not the OP's question) can you not either buy extra headphones from Ford or a pair of these wireless infra-red headphones from Maplin? They seem to work on many other in-car DVD systems.

I have a similar problem with a 56 plate TDCI Zetex Galaxy. The dash computer display was working fine, then suddenly the screen flashed and is now blank except for a couple of rows of red dots right at the bottom of the screen. It stayed like this even after turning the ignition off, locking the car and leaving it for 20 minutes or so. Having left the car overnight, it seems fine this morning, but does anyone know what might be causing this?
