just found a nother problem this morning. when i started it up the steering rack is very jerky but when it warms up is seems to be ok, could it be the rack ro the pump (1997 tdi) i have checked the fluid and thats fine? please help as i am begining to wish i had never bought it! mark

hi i have just bought my first galaxy and after traveling 210 miles to bring it home i have a few problems?? its a 1997 tdi ghia x manual 1 main problem is the glow plug light flashes evey couple of minuites but when you press the brake it goes of then keeps comming back?? (after 210 mile it get annoying but as i say goes away when pressing the brake) 2 it seem very sluggish as if the turbo is not working but i have noticed some vacuum pipes are perrished (is there any way to tell if its working?) 3 cruise control does not work (this is a must for me?) 4 the light on the dash says the passanger door is open even with no key in and all the interior lights do not come on with any door open? 5 central locking not working apart from the fuel filler and no alarm or remote function (you can hear the motor in the drivers door but no other) will probably find more when i look further? any help or advise is greatfully received. (do any members live near redcar in the north east who are technicly minded??) kind regards mark
