  1. Well after selling my beloved Gal, it seems my time on this site has come to an end... would like to say a huge thank you to those who have helped with my Gal problems! I have now replaced my Gal with 2005 Renault Grand Scenic (and possibly regretting it already :-\ ) With you all a very merry christmas and have a fantastic 2011!!
  2. Tut tut what a plonker-i re-read it over about 4 times before sending and just didn't see my mistake ! Thanks for pointing that out! I've had 3 offers via eBay-most has been
  3. Up for sale in my beloved Galaxy! I paid

Hence why the dear old gal is being done up ready to go up for sale :-( Time for a change...but at moment not sure what will be replacing her Need something big enough for the puppies (2 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback and 9 month old Lab)to fit in the back and still have enbough room to lug th brats around ;-) Debated on Zafira but they boring inside Done the Alhambra-dont want Sharan.....or another Gal Looked at Chrysler Voyager, Kia Sedona etc etc none grab me :-( Unless i find something BEFORE the Gal goes to new home il be using the missus new Civic...and she dnt like that hehe Any ideas???
  5. Hey! Went to see Chris today (Thank you so so much) Turns out I was sold a dodgy ECU..Chris plugged his in and they kicked in straight away! Was SOOOO pleased there wasn't a wiring problem! All plastics are now all back to beige and looking funky-even if I do say so myself! Now just have to get the leather seats looking nice and clean and she's al ready for pictures!! If anyone hears of mk2 breaking and they have parking sensor ECU up for grabs gissa Shout ;-)
  6. Hey All! My OH has just bought a new car (Honda Civic EX) She didn't like her standard key so looked on eBay and bought a nice Flip case (
  7. Hi All, I hope this sorts the problem for you but any chance you could post the result for us on here, the suspense is killing me. Good luck, Snowytop Hey Snowytop Thought id update-sort of Still no luck with the parking sensors (as yet) had few other elctrical problems over the weekend and the fan/blowers decided to pack up, which meant i couldnt clear my steamy windows to drive down to test the "working" sensors out off Chris' Gal but Ive just got to the bottom of it-there was completely wrong fuses in the car so theyve all been taken out and refitted to the manual and now my blowers are all working again! im going to message Chris again now and see if its possible to see him later this week and i shall let you know! Now to just instal the new DVD player and other than the sensors shes all good to be refitted with the newly sprayed plastics ready to go up for sale Sammie
  8. Would you really??? That would be fantastic! Wish I'd checked site earlier, just driven back to Dartford from Chatham! I'm around Monday if your free? Really appreciate it! At least that way I can work out if it is the ECU or wiring! Ya a diamond :)
  9. Yeh suppose I don't know how long the car had been there that the ECU had come off...maybe the plugs have become wet too...I'll try get my hands on a "known working" ECU asap! Thanks for the reply Kev
  10. Couldn't believe the "babies" being thrown around in the back seats! That's scary! Those seats-especially the rear facing newborn one-it was squashed! Makes me wonder whether baby really is safer in the back or the front-at least upon front impact there's front airbags to protect her and break part of her impact-in the back they just thrown around like ragdolls! Also I think with that kind of impact ALL the air bags should go off-front and sides! That way there's more protection in high impact...obviously low impact then mainly front ones are needed... Maybe thats just me lol! Think th mk3 looks so much better than mk1 and mk2 by a long shot! I'm now in two minds of mk3 or smax!! Choices choices!!
  11. Hey all After six months my dear Gal brings me back to the good old FGOC :) I had a little leakage problem last week thanks to the rear water washer pipe disconnecting-48 hours and 10 litres of washer water later and my passenger footwell was a pool for the little duckies! Pulled carpet up, cut out the soundproofing and replaced it-thought be quicker than trying to dry it all out! Three days later was all dry enough to put back together and was all happy happy again-or so i thought! When i turned the ignition on the parking sensor light was coming on and staying on with the ignition-but no beepers when i need it :) 15 miles down the road the rear sensor made a funny noise for about quarter of a mile (whilst i was driving)and nothing since! Now the light has gone out! We have purchased a another ECU from the breakers and still nothing, was considering it maybe the speaker that needs replacing too but that wouldnt stop the light coming on would it?? And im doubtful 2 ECU's wouldnt be working...Im tempted to try another ECU from a Gal we know for sure does work (Any offers?) Other than that Any ideas??
  12. Apparently the 15inch wheels have 288mm and 16inch have 300mm...well mine are 16's so technically they SHOULD be 300mm...but i will find out shortly! No need for the extra :P :P :P :P 's i knew ya was jesting
  13. Wel the missus just measured for me and its 26mm...she measured wrong bit, she thought she was measuring the thickness of the disc lol Its raingin now but when it stops il take wheel off and have a butchers lol Thanks for the pretty picture tho
