  1. Hi fellow members, I am hoping someone can help me out......... hoping :-) I had my 53 Plate 115BHP 6 speed manual Galaxy at the garage to have the dual mass flywheel replaced with a solid conversion and new clutch fitted. This is when my problems have continued! Every since I took the car away from the garage I am hearing a slight knocking/tapping noise from the front of the car..... it seems to be a rotational fault because the frequency on the knocking slows down as the car slows down, if you know what I mean?? And now the ABS light has come on!! More worrying is that I can't select first gear selected unless I engage another gear then go directly into first, so when I cant get it into first gear I go into second then it'll go straight into first - and that is every time! but when the gearbox hits neutral position when stopping at a junction etc I have to do the above routine to get the car into first.... I hope this makes sense? Any advise would be great! Thanks in advance, Paul
  2. Hi, I am new to this forum and I have a 2003 1.9TDi Galaxy. I have a good look on the forum to see if I can sort out my issue but with no luck. I had the car show up a couple of errors on the dash, ABS light and the ((0)) symbol.... and i took it to the garage for the diagnostics. I got a call from them today saying that the ABS fuse keeps blowing and they said that it could be the ABS module, which is not cheap!! I am quite capable in doing the average DIY machanics and was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction. My initial thoughts was to (if it's possible?) to disconnect one ABS wheel sensor at a time to see if it's a sensor making the fuse blow? Any ideas would be great! Thanks in advance Paul
