seat alhambra 1.9 w plate...everytime i accelerate hard the engine misfires for a second checked diesel filter today and its only half full.. could anyone shed any light on this please.....thanx

hi there mate its on top of gearbox its very hard to see ..what i do is use tipex and mark all the pulleys then change the belt hope this helps ... steve

hi there i have a seat alhambra 1.9 tdi w plate every now and then under accelaration it misfires it happens very quick then goes back to normal also when ticking over sometimes it just stops any help appriciated thanx steve..its done 130 k just changed injectors but was doing this before...could this be itermittent ecu fault?

hi there if you look in that little hole in top of gearbox there is a little notch and pointer its not very good .you cant get crank timing 180 out but you can get valve timing 180 out but if youve locked camshaft and pump timing with tools it should be ok...is there fuel getting to injectors? hope this helps you : just check number one piston is a top dead centre and the marks will appear if the timing was well out the engine would lock up mate

hi its just been serviced fuel filter plus additive air filter good oil new cambelt tyre pressures ok blanked off egr valve im going to look at lambda sensor next.revved it hard yesterday and there was a cloud of black smoke and after that it wouldnt rev properly it splutted for a while then picked up.going to have injectors checked as well shes covered 130,000 miles.thanx for all advice
