this problem only started yesterterday i have decided that im gonna get a new starter motor tried tapping the starter motor but to no joy so seems it may help getting a new one thanks for your comments adam baker ps i first thought it may be the immobiliser but would nothink happen at all if there was a problem with the immobiliser (i dunno tbf)

hi ya people my car has now decided it doesnt wanna start its a 2.0l ford galaxy on a "N" plate when i put the key in and try and start it it makes a whizzing noise (starter motor i think) and then nothing. ive tried to jump start which didnt work and checked under passengers seat no swimming pool lol and led in drivers door staying on until i try to turn it over . bump starting works but pushing a galaxy up hilll is not the way to go i think any advise would be greatly appreciated yours adam baker

thanks alot all you peeps who answerd my call for help checked and belt is broken!! will get a replacement as soon as poss as im in cornwall and everythink shuts down totally till monday lol does any one have a diagram of how the belt goes on or a website i can get this from thanks alot

hi all i really need someones help !! as i started the engine on my '95 2l ford galaxy glx i noticed the battery light was staying on and as i turned the steering wheel it was like tryin to turn the titanic by hand and to top that off the engine was getting very hot. i have never had any of these problems before with this car so PLEASE help. any help and advise will be very much appreciated as i am on holiday in cornwall with my 4 children

Hi, I have similar problem on Ford Mondeo (petrol) and my Galaxy (diesel). To fill up the tank I can't fully insert fuelling gun in the neck so all vapours can pass easily through the gap between the gun and neck and won't trigger gun safety switch. George cheers will try this

hi ya im new to this but here goes ... ive brought a ford galaxy 2L petrol on a 'n' plate the problem is when im putting fuel into the car the pump continusly clicks as it would do if it was full so it is taking me a good 5 minutes to put say 20 pounds worth of fuel in, is there a solution to this as i have not got a clue why this is happening. any solutions would be greatly appreciated. adam
