  1. Dave, Thanks. I was thinking that may be the problem. Have always been careful when tightening the hex bolts. I had noticed that later models had been changed and assumed that it was due to realising it was a poor deign. Am off to a dealer soon to ask their opinion given that is where we bought them and had them fitted. I know it is a simple fitting job but it was in for service and time was against us so... Anyway, thanks for the reply. Pete
  2. Tried that to the point where the bolt is almost out. Same on all four feet.
  3. Hi, Does anybody else have trouble moving ford roof bars fitted to a Mkiii. Having removed the covers and loosened the hex bolts, including those holding bars to the braces, I understand that you should be able to move the bar by pushing down on the bolt. This seems to have no effect on clearing the notch into which they lock. Any help appreciated. Thanks
