Hi! I am driving ford galaxy with 1.81 diesel engine. You should get diesel engine because it is cheaper than petrol engine. Diesel engine is more desirable than petrol engine. Diesel engine is more last longer than petrol engine.

This problem may be caused by moisture ingress into the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. This can cause a reduced supply of intake air and therefore a loss of power. The solution is to fit a revised intake air duct and a new MAF sensor. A revised intake air duct has been used in production.

I have Ford Galaxy 2003 and I had faced this same problem five months ago. I took my car to local garage but they could not solve this problem. Then I called dealer of car and he gave me solution. So first of all check the wires in the rubber bit that goes from the car to the drivers door.broken wiring is a common issue in this problem.
