  1. I had the turbo-boost cutout 4-5 times about a month ago when the temp was around -15 to -20 C. Since then it's been warmer and it hasn't cut out. Each time it reset by switching off and on and no warning lights came on. At least one time I noticed it cut out exactly as the rpms reached 3000. 2004 115 hp with 120 000 km (72 kmiles).
  2. I changed my front brake pads last week on a 2004 Sharan (16 in). The procedure was the same as previously stated, except that I had a brake wear sensor installed in the left front pad which wasn't mentioned in the other instructions. It took me a while to figure out how to disconnect the sensor. Here is the procedure. 1. Unclip the end coming from the vehicle. (push in the button and pull up and off) 2. Push down the small plastic tab on the bottom of the bracket coming from the plastic clip on the wire coming from the brake pad and rotate the clip 90 deg to allow it to slide out of the bracket. 3. Pay attention to how the wire is routed from the brake pad to the bracket so that the new wire comes in the same place. 4. Replace shoes as per other instructions. 5. Slide the new clip in to the bracket and rotate 90 deg to lock in place. 6. Clip on the end coming from the vehicle. :-)
  3. Does that mean I need to buy the cable from Ross-Tech for my 2004 Sharan (1.9 tdi)? I need to find out what the codes are on the Aux heater and get it working. Brrrr....
  4. After 30mins the coolant should be plenty warm enough to warm the cabin up. I think you may have a similar problem to mine. First check the fuse for the heated seats / aux heater, on my 2005 tdi it is fuse number 9. Mine was missing altogether. Yepp. Once you see the temperature gauge going up the heater in back starts putting out plenty of heat even with a non-starting aux. heater. (As mine currently is...)
