thanks to all got the cable and vag-com. usb selected on software i got 'port does not exist. Interface not found' selected com port 3 and got 'Port status ok Interface not found ' i only got 'Interface found' when it was connected to the car with the ignition switched on and the dash warning lights were active. tested airbags vag-acm said 2 'safe fault codes' (voltage interuption' so i reset the codes and airbag warning light has gone off, i'm happy. a massive thanks to all that have helped and hopefully i have helped someone by posting here. i will check out the vagcom meter can i just ask if the meter allows you to reset the codes ect or is it just a reader.

thanks for the help i have made the purchase. i will super glue and tape the joint, unfortunately i did not disconect the battery and wait... i had no idea ! i was just feeling around for water and unclipped the wires reverse lights are working ! i did remove the control unit and there is loads of lime from water damage so in conclusion i cleaned it up with a tooth brush and white spirit it looks very nice clean and shiney and does'nt work lol massive thanks madbaz any more tips would be most appreciated.. a cup ov proper tea awaits

hi my first post i reckon any halp is much appreciated i have a 53 galaxy 19tdi 130 the parking sensors have stopped working...the switch does not light up, there are no noises nothing, the control unit is dry, although recently the rear wash joint came unclipped..(it made a very firm reasuring click when i rejoined it so i am a bit sceptical it came unclipped by itself)??? any how i was checking all the cable joints under the passenger seat and unplugged the air bag cable then replugged it, the joints were dry and all good but now the air bag warning stays on ????? so i have a few woes!!! i would like to purchase a cable and the software to reset ect the fault codes would anyone kindly halp me out with the correct equipment to buy ? i understand ebay is good for the equipment. many thanks baz
