Remove the headlight far easier held in by three bolts

Same problem on my car this was caused by a broken wire in the main plug which connects the door electrics to the car electrics these are quite a common fault hope this helps.

HY had the same problem with my car If you put the gear lever in reverse and turn on the ignition you can then put your ear close to each sensor and listen to them tick if one is not ticking it might be a broken wire to that sensor or the sensor is faulty mine was a broken wire which I fixed myself no problem.
