  1. Hi all, Sorry about the delay, been a bit busy with work commitments. Im now getting some weird things happening. I lost the dash panel lights whilst driving the other night, my brake lights failed for a couple of hours and the engine mangement light started flashing. On the plus side my electric windows did start to function again........but not for long!! In the the absence of a wiring diagram, im gonna concentrate my efforts in and around the fuse box I'll keep you posted Jason
  2. Hi Mirez Thanks for your prompt reply. I agree that the 'new' function of the rear window having repaired the 3 broken wires is a little odd. I definately connected them up right, but i'll have a better look this evening (weather permitting!) I can find no F37 or F75? the fuses seem to go from 1 - 34 along the bottom row in the fuse box and something like 51 - 60 down the left hand side. I have physically checked all fuses in the main box and they are all okay. I know about the fuses under the bonnet, are there any fuses elsewhere? I will check what power 'or lack of' that i have at the pins and keep you updated. Thanks again. Jason
  3. Hi all Im new to this site and what a great site it is!!!! Im having a few issues with the electric windows. I have a 2000 (x - reg) 2.3 Galaxy Ghia. The problem started a couple of weeks ago when for no apparent reason both passenger side windows packed up. Both had been working fine up until this point. I was able to do the windows up but they will not power back down. Having trawled at length through this site and read the many forums i was convinced that it would be the wiring between the door and pillar. I set to work checking the passenger side front door and found no breaks in the wire (checked resistance and continuity). I then checked the rear passenger door and again no breaks. I then checked the drivers side front and as before no breaks. Upon checking the drivers side rear door i found 3 broken wires. I fixed these wires hoping that would have solved my problem, alas, no it did not. In fact it made the situation worse. The rear drivers side window was functioning fine until i repaired the wires, now this window will not power down and for some reason pressing the down button now makes it go up??? (works fine from the drivers control) I have tried the global opening/closing and the passenger side windows do not work, drivers side are fine. I do not have the swimming pool under the passenger seat!! lol. Can anybody point me in the right direction? I know that all the wiring between the doors is okay. Is there a relay or control module anywhere that i can check? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks Jason
