  1. There are no recalls for this. The clutch on mine was slipping at 35k with the dealer saying it was just "one of those things". I protested saying I've only ever changed one clutch before and that had over 100k so I'm not someone who thrashes it. No use and still had to pay with no contribution from Ford. Thanks. Regards Dave
  2. I had this trouble when my 07 was still very new. The bars come with a little 'torque wrench' and I had never exceded the limit (though the dealer who sold me the car may have?). The bars gradualy became very hard to move as the fitting that pushes down to let them slide became so deformed that it would not release. I believe it is a design fault, as the new galaxies have a different fitting and tracks. I had to buy a new set of bars and persuaded Ford to give me a better price for them, than the originals which I bought as an optional extra. I think you will just have to carefully wiggle and pull, trying not to damage the track, until they come free, then not fit them again, as they will just jam up again. Good luck with them.
  3. Just thought I would post to see if anyone knows if this is a regular problem or not? I have an 07 Galaxy 2.0 diesel 6 speed with around 75000 miles. All done by me and I have not thrashed it. It has been serviced at my Local Ford dealer since new and they seem very good. It has just had to have a new flywheel, clutch and many other related bits, as apparently the flywheel failed. Mega expensive! Should this really happen? Should I try to get Ford to chip in? Have there been any recalls, that my car may have missed and can I check anywhere? Dave
