Yes I think the 2.8 is for me, looking at the mpg compared to the 2.3, there is hardly any difference and the 6 speed when I go on holiday will be nice. How much is the road tax a Year for an 03 2.8 Ghia Manual ? Ta

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and would like some advice, I currently run a Vectra 3.2 gsi as my family car, However I now need a 7 seater as I have another child on the way. I'm looking at spending around 5.5k on a 2.8 or 2.3 Ghia manual. Which is the more reliable car ? I would love the 2.8 for the extra performance but overall which is the better model. Is the performance of the 200bhp 6 speed alot better than the 2.3 ford engine ? Does the later 2.8 engine have a cambelt or chain Any other faults to look out for ? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks
