its revving at between 1 and 2k , the exact model is galaxy glx 1900 diesel p reg, i was told it could very well be my throttle position sensor and was asked for part number ,ive never taken parts off car and theres 2 white clips stopping the cover coming off no bolts or screws and i cannot get it off for the life of me .

its diesel but a number of garages said theres 3 diffrent engines in the galaxy and mines suppose to be the vw

i forgot to add it revs as soon as my foot is removed off the exelerator, and the revving started after the turbo packed up, shes a P reg with a vaxwaggon engine inside her, she also has a power problem sinse turbo went to , if i get to a certain speed she pulls back and will not go over 60 on the motorway but to get to that speed seems to take forever .

hi i have a galaxy glx 2lt engine , a few years ago my turbo decided to pack up so that was renewed but sinse the revving problem has got worse now its constant , as soon as its started it sounds as if i have my foot on the exelerator thats only if the car is stationary and my foot is not on the exelerator, if i pull off in 1st or 2nd the revs die down , but if i break without pressing the clutch pedal the same time it goes to slow down then feels as if theres a rocket on the car it starts to speed up quite fast and still revs,if i break with pressing the clutch the same time it slows down fine , i was told it might be my clutch but then was told my car would not stall if the clutch was going but it stalls great , its a good car and id love to keep her but im desparate to stop this problem as its getting a serious hazzard :46: any advice id be greatful of . thanks carol
