  1. My Galaxy is X reg 2000 model just before facelift 19.00 tdi , the power steering pump is fitted with a v belt pulley does anyone happen to know the part number for this particular pump or tell me what pump i need to purchase?
  2. One of the twin fans on my Galaxy mk1 1.9 diesel runs all the time upon start up and switching off when it runs for about a minute before stopping, the temp gauge is showing no reading at all it does not move, the cabin heater is working ok and delivers hot air no problem. I am new to this forum and any help on these problems would be appreciated
  3. Its more than likely the brushes on the motor have worn away, i had the same problem on another vehicle i owned, i found that if i gave it a sharp tap when it did not work it would suddenly spring to life not sure wether you can replace the brushes so might be just as cheap to source another unit on ebay
  4. Hi i am new to this but here goes. My ford Galaxy is X reg 2000 1.9 diesel. The problems i have at the moment are with the power steering and electric fan. First the steering, have replaced belt and had power steering pump bled by my local garage, everything ok for a while then steering became notchy again and started squealing, back to the garage who told me pump was partially seized and they had managed to unseize it, again everything ok for a while but problem is coming back again ,i would point out that car had been standing outside unused for some considerable time, would i just be better off replacing pump?. Electric fan running constantly on start up and a short period after ending journey, temperature gauge gives no reading at all does not move?
