  1. I have the same problem, brake warning remains light on after both front pads were replaced. My mechanic insists that the brakes are OK and the leads are fine. He says that the problem could be a faulty sensor but these are expensive to replace. And it could be very expensive to find the faulty one by replacing each in turn. How can I isolate the problem? Will VagCom help?
