It is almost certainly a bad earth in the wiring that goes into the drivers door. Very common, the wires wear where they go through the plastic flexy tube into the drivers door. Easy fix, door panel off and check the continuity of each wire. Usually all the doors lock on the plip except the drivers dooe but you can only lock the drivers door with the key. Hope this helps
