  1. Hi Car has a new battery fitted. ( this week ) and light still flashing. I have got to get the rear pads changed, they were picked up as an advisory on the MOT but there seems to be a seperate warnign light for those. After removing the plastic cover from the engine, im sure its the glow plugs i can see stickng out the side of the block. ( well at least i was hoping it was..)
  2. Hi, Similar issue here for me. I have been the proud owner of my Galaxy for a couple of years now, When i bought it i was told it was the model with the litle extra oomph but i didnt realy take any notice ( its a car for the mrs to ferry the monsters about in) I have decided to do the filters myself this time as i got stitched up big time last time it went to the garage... I dragged out the Reg Docs and it has the engine varient listed as the ASZ1 and as you have said th is the 150bhp model When i go online to Euro carparts and enter the reg all its coming back with are parts for the ASZ 130bhp model Do I take it these are these are compatible? Or should i just bite the bullet and put it in the garage and let them sort it? Which i cant really afford :) Anyways thanks in advance guys :)
  3. Hi, thanks for the reply, Last winter the coil light began flashing and i also noticed that the car wasnt so keen to start in the cold weather. When I took the car for its service i mentioned it and I was told that it was probably one weak plug causing the problem. I was then quoted an awful lot of money to locate and replace the one weak plug. I left it as i couldnt really afford it at the time, but now as the cold weather approaches i think it be best to sort it. Iwas just going to replace all 4 then I at least know they are all good. Any other idead would be appreciated. Im willing to have a go at most things just need a little direction :) Many thanks
  4. Hi, I just wonderd if I might ask a question. I am the owner of a 54 plate 1.9 TDi and i believe it has the 150bhp ASZ1 Engine ( well according to the log book) What im wondering is if i am to buy a new set of plugs for it, Im guessing that the fact it is the ASZ1 will make a big difference? I dont want to buy the wrong ones. Also any recomendations for online parts? Many Thanks S
