When i picked the car up from Mr Clutch it was running erratically and when i pulled up to a junction it would stall and in the 3 days i had it it would stall at lights mainly. when it did finally give up the ghost i was trying to diagnose it and it just died in my driveway.!! :unsure:

its the same as before i have changed fuses with new,put fuel in-done all these and according to the led codes on this site it is the PATS system,??? thanks for the advice anyway. :unsure:

I have not been on the forum for a couple of months as my car will still not start and the story is a real saga-so here goes. I have galaxy 1999 2.3 petrol and the clutch went i was advised not to go to Mr Clutch but ended up going there, they did the work,charged me

Could someone please tell me where the lambda sensor on a ford galaxy 1998 2.3 petrol, and cost and is it easy to change. any pictures would be great. many thanks :wacko:

I would like to locate the cps sensor as i feel this is the next place tor try and start my non starting galaxy 1998 2.3. What i am looking for is any advice and some detailed pictures or instructions on where and how to change it many thanks :)

I have had for some time a problem starting my 199 2.3 Galaxy. These are the things i have done changed the fuel filter,relay 30 have checked all connections and wiring,taken off and cleaned plugs coils seem fine.taken off and cleaned throttle body and removed and cleaned idle control valve. What happens now is a persistent beeping after trying to turn the car over and still not starting. What is left can someone please help and does anyone know what the beeping signifies?? :lol: many thanks

I thought we were here to help each other?? I think you might be deluding yourself after all we are talking about is cars its not the U.N. I am grateful for the help as are everyone else and we all benefit dont we?? ;) If you cant start your car - which is what I think yours saying, then go through the standard procedure for a petrol engined car. 1. Lift off a lead and check you have a spark when turning over.If not then check ignition leads/coilpak. Check all leads as there is more than one coilpak. 2. Remove spark plug(s) and check condition. Turning the car over (very briefly) without plugs fitted will dry out any over zealous squirting of cleaner or petrol flooding. (Take care where those spark leads are as they could ignite the stuff coming out the plug holes) 3. Next step is to establish if fuel is getting through - but I doubt you need to get to this stage. 90% of petrol non starting is ignition related. Please try not to hijack another persons thread - you have started several threads already on the same subject. Just stick to one thread and keep it going instead of starting a new one or diving into someone elses.

check the post it is not me being critical. I just think that as we both are just being thorough we need a bit more help good luck withyour car. ;)

My car is doing exactly the same thing and i have not found the answer have changed the relay done all the checks,including fuel filter except the plugs. My car just seemed to die having sprayed the cleaner in the housing,i don't know if i overdid this and it has now clogged it up. Is there a way to clean with some sort of solvent or just neat petrol.if the fuel pump is blocked how can i fix that,you see i to have the car just turning over and when i do this a few times the relay is physically warm to the touch does this mean the pump is working? any help would be great. many thanks. ;)

sorry my car is a 1999 2.3 ford galaxy. Although the problem was not manifest at the beginning i thought that as the clutch bedded in that when i took back in 500 miles time that they would adjust this. The adjustment was to keep up the guarantee.nothing appears to be disconnected When it turns over and does not start there is a beeping sound if this helps.
