  1. Thank you ever so much, regards mick
  2. thank you once again, i would love to connect it to the back of radio, the only information on the quadplug i can find is on the fordwiki site under galaxy mk3, i can put a multi meter on one of these but was really hoping some one would know the one i need to splice in, i think maybe it be best i send it into fords to do the last bit, as i dont want to go into the canbus, and there are wires there that effect it, well i think any way, kind regards mick
  3. sorry for the confusion, Like i say i have added a new aerial not the window one, this new aerial is a dab aerial, i have rune the cable to the back of the radio, the aerial cable connects to the fakra connection not the iso, also the new aerial is amplified so i have brought the 12v cable to the back of the unit, the problem i have is dont know where to connect the new 12v cable from the new aerial, do i splice it into the exsisting radio plug or take it back to the fuse box, this is not a aftermarket radio its a sony 2011 ford sony with dab. So all i really need a a ignition fed 12v supply, not a constant 12v supply as the battery will go flat when i leave it, hope i made it clearer, thank you once again , kind regards mick
  4. hi there , thanks for that, this unit is a ford one so it uses the original connector block, i know what you mean as i have fitted after market radios years ago, was wondering if i could pick up a lead of the connector block or go back to the fuse board, the only worry i have i dont want to upset the canbus, but thank you may be some one else knows where i need to pick up a ignition fed live, kind regards

  11. The only thing I can think of that could cause this would be a low voltage - the voltage must be above 13V for the front screen to switch on and the rear screen will turn off if a low voltage condition occurs. I assume you are running the engine when this occurs (the front screen needs the engine running to turn on) - measure the voltage on the battery terminals with the engine off and on. You should have around 12v with the engine off and around 14.5 with it on. ok i will give that a go tomaz i was wondering if the relays was on a timer ???? or some thing
