We brought our 2007 1.8 Zetec on Christmas Eve. We have the same problem re the Alarm. It is currently in the garage apparentely it is a problem seen all the time. The battery for the alarm is located in a rear wheel arch. So if water penetrates this is requires changing. This is not the only problem we also have excessive road noise from the front passenger side of the vehicle and they are looking at this also.
