I have had the turbo checked and they said it seemed ok, is there anything else it might be? The garage may need to overhaul the top end of engine ?

How would they check to see if the turbo is at fault, is there a certain test?

Hi Guys, Can anyone help with my problem, some times when I start the engine it rev's up on its own and a big cloud of black smoke is pumped out the car, but it does not do it every time? I also use lots of oil 5 litres of oil only lasts me 2 months, then i have to top it up again..... I have a ford galaxy tdi 1.9 2003 any advice Thanks Joe
