Hello! I have a Galaxy Ghia 2003 installed with the visteon 6006e 6 disc cd changer. And volume and tracks buttons on the steering wheel. Some time ago my wife accidently left a papercup from Mc with some coke left in it over night. Next day I found the stereo soaked in coke as you all probably know the cup holders are placed just above the stereo. Ok lesson well learned by my wife that papercups do not hold liquid over night. When I started the stereo I noticed that the display was totaly dead. Ok, lets put in an aftermarket instead. Got a pioneer quit cheap and a fascia plate and some adaptor on ebay. I thought it would be nice to change volume and tracks using the steering wheel buttons and found a stalk adaptor. http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/400585945712 The problem was that I did not check that it said that it would work for all models except Ghia. So I contacted the dealer asking if I could rewire it or if there was another stalk adapter working with ghia. But no luck. Does anyone no if there even exist a stalk adapter for ghia models? I have checked Internet but can not find any. /Per

Hello! I have a problem on my mkii. The problem is that when i use the central locking using the key knob. It does not lock the drivers door. I need to manually lock it using the key. Ok this is irritating but not the worst part. Sometimes when I have locked it, it is impossible to open the door with the key turning it manually in the lock. It seems that the mechanism inside that is used by the central locking system is jammed. I then have to unlock using the key knob and then i can turn the key to unlock the drivers door. And I habe only one key with wokling key knob used by my wife :( so I am stuck with a manual key. This becomes a real problem when I am about to use the car when my wife has locked it using the knob since I am unable to open the car :(. And a frightning thought has crossed my mind what if my wife some how loose her key or it wont operate by the key knob..... Then I will have to use a brick to get into the car. I have had it at a car repairment but they said it would cost like 2000 SEK to fix approxamitly

Hello! I have a strange problem. I have three keys to my galaxy, two with remote lock fob and one spare key without remote lock function. Lets focus on the remote keys. They have both worked fine until a while ago. Then one of them was a little tricky to use, one would have to press several times before it locked/unlocked remotely. Now it does not work at all, so I replaced the batteries in it. Don't know how long it took to change them but probably too long since it still does not work. It blinks while pressing any button but nothing happens. The other remote key works fine, unlocks and lock all doors when it is used. Now to the weird part, the remote key that does not work remote can be used to unlock the drivers door but not the others? It is like it is not activating central locking?? And also I have red all forums on the Internet and this about reprogramming the key, by turn the key unlock 3 times and wait 0,5 secs in unlock state every time all done in 5 secs. I think I have tried this 200 times it does not work with any of the remote keys, the led on driver door won't lit. Only flashing when locked. As yet another info the faulty/unprogrammed key seems to work to program if the car would let me since if I press the lock button and hold it and then press the unlock button 3 times it starts flashing with the led. Why isn't the led on the drivers door lit when turning the key as mentioned? Could the reprogramming be dissfunctional but the normal use works fine? All suggestions would be gladly appreciated! Hello Erik! How did you solve it? I have same question. There seems to be torx screws at top of the lamp housing, is it these one should remove?
