  1. At the moment the wires are just tucked under the rear carpet :) I am currently looking at finding one of those plug adapter things so that I can plug direct into the wiring loom, I have read some posts on here about the bulb failure light and the need for a bypass relay etc. So I think it may be worth the extra money so I don't have to cut into the main wiring loom. If anyone has any suggestions as to where to get the loom adapters I would be grateful. Once I have one of those I will post some more pics of the installation of that. Regards Jon
  2. However I was installing a tow bar so here are some pics for that to. Remove the 4 bolts from the big metal lump on the bumper. http://www.box.net/shared/static/d49ugn8tj5.jpg http://www.box.net/shared/static/eabm95y2b7.jpg Place the two arms into the beams that have now appeared. http://www.box.net/shared/static/3cq2zsr6z6.jpg Place the three bolts through from underneath the car. http://www.box.net/shared/static/e369kl69ue.jpg You will probably want to remove the exhaust heat shield to get proper access to the ones on the left. Bolt all the Towbar bolts tight http://www.box.net/shared/static/vexnpl8d70.jpg Replace the heat shield Replace the bumper following the reverse of the instructions above. http://www.box.net/shared/static/5dnfzzujyn.jpg Bish Bash Bosh Job done. Once again many thanks to this site for the original walkthrough. Jon
  3. Hi All, First off many thanks for the information provided on this site. I recently got a 06 Gal and wanted to put a towbar on it, so with the help from these forums I found the following article (http://www.fordgalaxy.org.uk/ford/index.php?showtopic=8031) Whilst following the guide on how to remove the bumper I decided to take some pics of the actual process, hopefully this will help some one else. First off remove the covers from under the rear taillights. http://www.box.net/shared/static/iaql9hd0zj.jpg Spot the Laptop with the original walkthrough on :) Now remove the 3 screws from behind the rear wheel http://www.box.net/shared/static/xeqrhpqxvf.jpg Pull the bumper away from the side of the car. You will need to use some force but a slow hard pull made it work for me. Now to under the car, Remove the Reversing sensor connection http://www.box.net/shared/static/irjb2ck1rn.jpg Undo the four bumper bolts there are two on each side. http://www.box.net/shared/static/sk5g50jsln.jpg Now partially undo the left bolt under the taillight. http://www.box.net/shared/static/911vx7sy71.jpg I know it the right side but I forgot to take a left side pic And now move the right side and undo the right bolt under the taillight. At this point the bumper may come away so I pushed it into the car with my knee whilst removing the left bolt totally. The bumper is now free from the car so simply carry it away. http://www.box.net/shared/static/r1qas89pa8.jpg If you are replacing it with a new one then simply reverse this sequence.
