Hi guys, just an update after changing relay 109 no problems starting at all. have now done over 500 miles since changing it, been on holiday with the car fully loaded still no problems. Many thanks for all the posts on this site. Regards Ian

Great site guys n dolls, just wondering if the relay 30 (27) is only problematic with the 2.3 petrol or can this affect the 1.9tdi 115 bhp as mine seems to go for a couple of weeks of starting fine then it just won't start. She turns over fine but seems like fuel starvation, if i leave it for about 10 mins it starts, then if i stop it sometimes it starts again and sometimes it don't. I am now thinking that it seems to do it more in the hot weather. Please any Ideas

I bought a new switch from dealer today, so it should be ok, only tried it on the front passanger and drivers rear. I have read somewhere on here that it may be a module that is in the third level of the fuse box or even that the windows may hav locked out, if this is the case they need to go up an inch or so before they will go down. not sure how that works.

Please can anyone help? I have posted about this before but got no help, and I know how good you guys and dolls are. Here goes, Drivers window goes up and down as it should do, also with global closing from all locks, but here's the thing all 3 other door windows are up and will not come down either from the master switches on the drivers door or the swithces on the doors. I have checked the door wires at least 10 times now, I have power going to all the switches I have power and comand power to the multiplugs that conect to the motors, if you pull the window switch up to do the windows up (already up) the motor in the door clicks but when I push the switch to go down there is no noise or movement. WHAT IS GOING ON (anyone got a hammer). Please Please Help.

Maybe, I will go to exhaust centre this week and make enquires.

I have not noticed any reduction in performance, only a wee bit slugish when cold, and the old limp home mode when accelerating quickly when joining a motorway, but switching of engine and re-starting cures that. (Does not do it all the time though, and was doing it before the exhaust change).

Hi, thanks for the reply, I have not noticed the jet engine noise if that is what you mean, but then the outside temp on the dispay on the dash has not been below 7oC.

Hi all, I am having problems with all 3 passanger power windows on my 2000 X-Reg MkII 1.9tdi galaxy, all 3 windows are up when i press the switch to go up the motor clicks. but when i press to go down there is no noise or movement from the windows at all, the same happens weather it is from the drivers door pannel or the individual doors, Power is present at all switches, the drivers door window works fine, any suggestions please.

Just an update, after much searching on here and other forums I managed to get a fusebox diagram and belive it or not fuse 22 which i belive is for cigar lighter, or radio according to the plan on the piece of plastic that covers the fusebox, was missing but both the radio and cigar lighter worked, but when i put a 10amp fuse in the empty holder the heater blower fans work. Now the only thing i am not sure of is, are both the cooling fans on radiator suposed to working when my heater blower is on, on eco mode or even in an unamed mode?

Hi guy,s, this is my first post, I have got a 1996 VW sharan 2.8 GL with climate control that seems to control both front and back heater blowers (as there are no seperate controls in the roof lining for the rear one). Now here is the strange thing, the blowers only work in short blasts when the radiator cooling fan kicks in to cool the water in the radiator. I have changed the Blower Resistor pack (red hedgehog) I have changed the climate control header unit as the one was flash for a short while when first started up, now the new on is doing the same (proberbly no gas in A/C). I have even bought Relay 114, but cannot find where it goes as there is not an old one in the central fuse box, My central fuse box is only one level and not the multiple levels that was introduced late 1997. I also think that there may be a couple of relays missing but I cannot get my hands on a wiring diagram of my type of fuse box. Pleas can anyone help me. P.S Rear wiper not working, but the rear waher does work.
