  1. BrianH, thanks for your advice. I'm pretty much convinced that the issue is the aerial, but as it wiring goes all through the headlining it may be a bit difficult to get to Do you know if there's an amplifier/booster, and where it'd be located ?
  2. Following the FM losing it's signal (sometimes it comes back for a minute or two), the AM has also packed up, again sometimes working for a short while. The aerial being located in the o/s rear window, and connected OK. My understanding is that the issue could be the radio unit itself, but more likely the ground/earth, or an amplifier. Does anyone know where to look for these ?
  3. My Mk2 Galaxy (02 reg) has the 6000 unit, and the FM seems to lose the signal after 10-30 minutes. The aerial is connected OK. AM and CD use is fine. Could this be some kind of power issue with the aerial situated in the back qtr glass ? Does anyone know where this power unit is located ?
  4. Hi, I have a 2002 Galaxy 1.9TDi, and have had ongoing problems wirth the Booster Heater which is currently not working, probably due to fault codes in the system. It did have a problem with heavy smelly grey smoke being emitted, but this was cured for a year by fitting a new glow plug. Recently though it's started again, and the small exhaust if dripping fuel. I suspect that the 'Diesel Metering Pump' is now faulty. I've suggested this to my local Ford dealer who just blanked me on this and said they recommend just changing the whole heater unit for hundreds of pounds. I've tried to find on on line without success. Does anyone know the Ford FINIS Code for the pump, or somewhere one can be obtained ? Thanks CJB
  5. Hi, I've an 1.9 Diesel Galaxy on a 02 plate, with Auto Air Conditioning/Heating (no rear a/c). The control unit has started flashing for about 10 seconds when the ignition is turned on which indicates a fault. The diagnostics shows fault code 01187 (Actuator for Temperture Flap at Rear). I've not been able to find out what this actually is, and the Ford Dealer couldn't find anything obviously wrong. Any ideas ?
  6. I'm having a similar problem with my 02 Galaxy. The A/C has been sucessfully re-gassed and the unit will clear any misting inside, but little or no cold air. The LCD unit flashes for about 20 seconds when the ignition is turned on indicating a problem. Diagostics show a fault code of 01187, something to do with Temp Valve Rear V137 - Rear Temp Flap Control Motor. Seems a bit suspect to me. Any ideas ? One other thing, I notice that when I activate the A/C at tick over, the engine revs dip a bit then come up, then dip again, etc..
