Hi again you will then need to remove the scuttle tray located under the wiper motor its held on by three bolts once that is remove it will give you better access you will then need an old wire coat hanger to dig out the drain holes on each side then wash the holes down with hose or can, water should be seen coming out behind plasti wheel arch. You mentioned the thermostat is the engine running cold or is it overheating? not sure,seems ok if that makes sense but im usless with this stuff!lol i guess it maybe overheating slightly,could it be too much heat coming up from the engine?water is ok,doesnt need topping up,heating works when you put it on,it was really dusty tho today when we put it on.

Hi could be something simple like the scuttle drains blocked or your heater matrix is leaking? have you lost or losing coolant? does the level keep going down. :( levels are ok,how do you unblock the drains?where we ppark there are trees and leave crap all over the car!also when we had to have water pump replaced the guy said the thermostate had gone,would it be this causing it?

ok,the front window keeps steaming up,put heater on doesnt do anything,at times yo can see the steam coming up through the vent,its a `96 2.0l auto,any ideas as to why its doing it?

have looked at wires,they seem ok,do you mean switching passenger side switch over to drivers one?as drivers side has 2 switches,drivers and front passengers.

we have a p reg 2.0l galaxy,yesterday hubby put his window down (drivers side)and now it wont go up,pressing te button,nothing,the switch for the other side works,anyway to get window up?having to cover it with bin bag t the mo and we dont live in the best area to have an open window!!!

no,car failed fairly quick,temp never went in to red as we were going uphill and power went so pulled over,got towed home,got soeone comming out monday too fix it,thanks for all the help guys,dont seem to have much luck with cars!!!hbby said it was going on the way back from surrey but nothing major was going on,went on way back fro picking me up!bloomin` cars! :rolleyes: all fixed,yay!said the air filter pump will need replacing but not urgent and the thremostat needs replacing soon too,how easy is that to fix?

we broke down tonight,got towed home,the guy said the water pump has gone,he also said older models the cam belt should be ok,he cant see any other damage,its a p reg 96 2.0l auto,any ideas hw much it will cost pls?

hi,sory been out today!we have a 2.0l auto,has normal wear & tear for a car its age but nothing that cant be fixed,havent had it long,kids love it,so much space for them,i have 4 boys and we had mondoe estate before with seats in the boot.
