yes it has the same gear internals but the 4cylinder 02m box is a different angle on the bellhousing and will not bolt upto a 2.8 engine

hi yes both blocks are the same fitting. but im trying to find out if its a o2m type gearbox as they hold lots more bhp than the 5 speed stock vr6 gearbox .. the only 6 cylinder o2m gearbox i can find in the uk is found on a 24v golf 2.8 4motion (and r32) but this has a tranfer box for the 4x4 fitted to it ... in usa only they have 24v 2.8 vr6 golfs with 6speed o2m gearbox but 2wd version and im wondering if the mk2 galaxy 24v has the same type box

hi all im searching for a gearbox to modify my vr6 turbo does anyone know if the 6 speed gearbox from a 2.8 24v mk2 galaxy is the 02m type gearbox please advise
