  1. Bump - Anyone. Believe it or not Ford cant tell me and neither can a google search.
  2. Do you mean a 6.5 inch speak rather than 6.5cm? I am trying to find out what speaker size the Mk3 uses as one of mine has blown. Are there any special adaptors needed? I have also heard that the speakers need to be particularly shallow in depth as there is not much room. Are you able to confirm/deny this? Many thanks Darren
  3. BUMP: Has been a while with no reply, now one of the middle speakers has completely blown, effecting all music. Can someone please let me know what size speakers can be fitted to the front and rear (3 seat row) + tweaters. Many thanks
  4. Just bought a Sony MEX BT4700 for
  5. Hi All, Ths is my first post on the OC There are undoubtebly some noob questions but i hope that you seasoned ICE people will be able to assist - - Sorry I Really am new at this. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on what are hopefully a few straightfoward queries I have... I have an 07 plate galaxy (not sure what "Mk" that is but hey) I am looking to replace the CD6000 head unit and speakers for in there for something better. I have looked at lots of nice flashy Double Din head units and nearly choked at the prices so have opted for a single din and would therefore need the fascia adaptor. The first questions is: I have a silver trim dash and obviously need a matching fascia, are there any particular fascias or brands that people know from experience are a good match to the plastic in the car? I remember a garage doing the headunit on an old focus and the fascia was not quite the same silver and it always bugged me! Moving on to the speakers, I read somewhere ages ago that ford C-Max "spacers"(?) are required to fit aftermarket speakers but cannot seem to find that info again. Can someone confirm what speaker sizes i can consider for the front and back doors and if anything special is indeed needd to fit them? Do i need to replace the in dash tweeters? As most head units seem to drive 4 speaker channels do i need to lose the very rear and in dash and rear door tweeters? How important is it to match the Ohms? Thank you in advance for any help! Darren PS: When I get it done if someone wants to take the CD6000 off of my hands along with the speakers they are welcome to do so for nowt. :-)
  6. PLastic broke off on mine. Was repaired under warranty with metal trim and button.
  7. This is presumably to replace the Sony head unit yes? as it is curved.
  8. Can anyone tell me what size speakers you can fit in the Mk3 for the front and rear doors + the tweerers. (I have an 07 plate if it make any difference)
