  1. I have read a few posts on here about removing the cv joint (nearside outer) and all say to remove cv joint from hub. Is it not possible to just remove the drive shaft from the cv joint whilst the cv joint is still attatched to the hub???
  2. Read several topics regarding blocking vac supply to EGR valve to help with fuel economy. I have a 1999 TDi 110, and thought I'd do this. Is the EGR valve the one at the back of the engine to the right of the turbo (looking from behind the engine) with one small pipe running off it and up to the bulk head? Just fixed speedo from not working after reading threads on this site, so keep up the good work!!!!
  3. had a look today and as you say, the top nut looks fairly rusted up. Gave it a good squirt of wd as I have the pinch nut too, but think I might ring round a few places for a quote
  4. Just had the MOT and failed on broken front o/s spring. Been looking on ebay and there are some for
  5. Had it to bits today and there is a bilb to light things up. Looks like it could be available but I found a small 12v bulb with wires on and soldered it in. switch now lights up!!!!!!
  6. Hi, should the side/head light switch in the dash (MK1 Galaxy) be illuminated when the lights are switched on? I am only getting a light in the middle of the control knob for the lights, the panel dimmer and beam height adjuster are not lit up, is this normal? If not does the switch come apart to facilitate the fitment of a new bulb??? thanks for your help. Ncik
