  1. Interesting, the wires were all covered in green stuff when I peeled back the tape they were wrapped in, will give it a go, cheers
  2. There is only 1 smaller gauge wire coming from the battery terminal but checked that with meter and it's running 12v, there was a wire which runs along the passenger floor which is 6 wires crimped into 1 and that's running 14.4v when ignition on. Anyone know what this is for, the wire is red/yellow?
  3. Hi, I had a leak on the passenger side sunroof drainage pipe and the carpet got soaked on this side. I pulled the carpet back and cut out the sound deadening underlay to let it dry out. I fixed the leak and tested it and all was ok. However some electrical faults started all at the same time, blowers front and rear don't work, central locking on drivers door doesn't work and all of the display in the clocks goes blank when I remove the key from the ignition, even though the mileage should constantly be in and the door open indicators should also work but I get nothing. I have checked all fuses and they are fine , I have also checked the voltages for relay 114 but I am not getting a live feed from the climate control unit or a live to the resistor or blower motor. I have swapped the climate unit, resistor, relay and even all fused but nothing works. I am wondering if there is anybody on here that knows what the problem might be or have come across it in the past themselves. Please let me know if you have any advice in case I forgot to check something. My model is a mk1 1999 2.3 ghia x with an mfu by the fuse box on the drivers side. Thanks in advance
