  1. Hi Ii have a 52 1.9 tdi that has just been servived & MOT not done by Main dealer, however 2 issues have arose at the same time. 1) large quantities of white smoke from the Aux heater, searched indicated Glow Plug and will get it looked at. 2) Continous hissing appears to be coming from front Drivers side near the whell arch, gets consderably louder when accelrating but will stop completely when brake pedal depressed if even slightly. Only problem is am visiting relatived inplymouth from the isle of wight so a little bit distance from getting it checked. any thoughts on the hissing - could it be an air escape on the brake servo? and if so whats the damage likely to be? I suppose that if the servo failed the brakes would still work but greater foot pressure would be needed but at least the car would be driveable to get us back home tomorrow? any thought views welcome
  2. whilst on way to work this morning ithe coil light came on with a warning message of "engine workshop" it stayed on for over 5 minutes and then kept dissapearing and returning every few seconds (no it wasnt blinking!) i still havent managed to rectify the bulb illuminator problem either yet! so dash is starting to look like a christmas tree! question is the local dealership cant see it till Monday is it okay to drive there appears to be no loss of power or any other indication that the engune is not well

  6. Hi, can anyone help with this one please! The bulb failure light came on recently and today got around to replacing the rear stoplight drivers side that had failed. However when i start the ignition the bulb failure light comes back on until i press the brake pedal when it will go off and stay off! However if I then turn on the lights the indicator will again come on and stay on ! on pressing the brake pedal the light will go off but come back on as soon as pressure on the brake pedal is released. If I turn the lights back off the failure light stays on - until I brake when it will go off & stay off! I have checked all the exterior bulbs in various combinations and I cant find any bulb that has failed! any help appreciated please <_y
