Hi thanks for the reply the crank sensor was bought from motor factors as was lot lot cheaper than ford do you think is poss still to be the problem

Hi all hope someone can help me out,i own a galaxy 2.8 v6 1998 and for the past few weeks has been cutting out intermitantly will turn over but not start,left for 20/half hour will start fine and be ok for couple of days then do exactly the same. have taken to several garages and have had the crank sensor (non genuine) replaced and the fuel pump relay replaced but to no avail,taken to ford for diagnostics and they could not find a prob but did say that it was giving strange codes but they did not have the answer,would the crank sensor not being ford be the prob? any help on this would be very very greatfull any ideas?????? thanks Andy
