  1. Ok...part of the problem has been solved...the previous owner replaced the head unit and didn't write down the CORRECT pin as the serial number is different to that written down by Ford's! So with that in mind my serial number for my Ford 6000 CD is now M183840. Would someone please, please, please tell me what the keycode is for this??? Many thanks people!
  2. Are you sure you are entering the code correctly? The correct sequence is to toggle the 1 button until the first digit displayed is correct, then the 2 button for the second digit, etc Once the LCD display shows the correct code, press 5 You dont just tap the code in using the numbers like a calculator - that would be too easy! Yes I'm definitely putting the code in correctly. Although the unit was not properly flush with the dash fascia. Just pressed it this morning and heard a spring loaded part click into place, shall try again later today. I've heard disconnecting the unit from all power for over 24 hours sometimes works? Probably a stupid question but should the unit be completely locked into place before the keycode is accepted? Is this a function of the 6000CD player head unit? The other change is a scotch connector on the orange/black back light power wire of the unit to my trip computer which I installed yesterday, can't see how this would affect it though!
  3. I have exactly the same problem with the same model and I'm told by Ford's my keycode correctly matches the serial number. Any ideas as to why this is happening???
  4. Cheers. Not sure why on earth someone would install a windscreen with a rain sensor with no control unit to control it!! Then again perhaps rain sensors come standard with the front windscreen heating element installation, which I have!?!?
  5. Yes I have the rain sensor behind the rear view mirror (also heated windscreen I guess as part of climate package from original owner) but no 6 speed automatic intermittent wiper stalk. The rain sensors don't even seem to work when in intermittent position 1 on the basic stalk I currently have.
  6. Ok thanks but no sign of AUTO on the headlight switch. If indeed the rain sensors are properly linked up to the stalk AND the first intermittent position is actually AUTO, how can I get them working or change the speed if I don't have the stalk with the 6 speed intermittent setting? Is it just a case of buying a 6 speed stalk off of ebay and swaping over with the bog standard stalk that I have? Or do I have to change the relay also? Thanks
  7. Shame....I really needed this info!!
  8. Yes please can you list part number required and possible brief guide/FAQ on how to do this installation. It's bugging 100's of us out there on the web who can't fathom it out! Thanks
  9. I one particular problem of many on my 2003 Ford Focus 1.8 tdci Zetec. The rain sensors are blatently there but no auto on the stalk!! How stupid is that! Any way to get the wiper stalk to communicate with the rain sensors? I noticed you a Mondeo owner managed to sort this problem but can not find out from him. Thanks ;)
