  1. hi all. ive just fitted a new flywheel on my 03 mk2 galaxy tdi, put it all back together to find the battery light on when running. checked charging with multimeter from back of alternator and battery (battery voltage) . cant see any wires disconnected anywhere? there are two wires on a plug on the back of the alternator, one blue one black. if i power up the blue one with my power probe the alternator charges @ 14-15 volts while running. checked for continuity on blue wire from alternator to multi plug behind battery- ok. checked fuses-ok. somethings not triggering charging? could it be an ecu fault? any ideas?
  2. sounds like the dual mass flywheel. mine's an 03 mk2 and it did exactley the same . if its the original flywheel you will have to change the clutch because they've been modified. hope this helps.
