I have always thought of my 2.0 galaxy as being a big slow bugger that drinks fuel, but since reading the posts by attila, I think I may have been putting up with a fault for 6 months. Can I assume that if I unplug the wiring connector from my MAF whilst then engine is running (idling) that I will see a change in RPM's or is it not visible until actually driving, and putting the engine on load at different rev ranges? As I did this at the weekend and the revs did not even notice that it had gone. Also is there a way I can actively test the MAF with a Scope/Multimeter as I have access to some test gear as I am an electronics engineer. Currently the Galaxy is in for a cam chain problem, i.e the guides have broken off and been eaten. Cant wait for the bill for that one. Thanks in advance.
