  1. Tell me I'm not going mad please  I've had a problem with my Galaxy TDI 115BHP 02 reg 86000miles To be honest its been a problem since we bought it in May but dealer has disappeared otherwise it would have gone back (somehow) It started with a Turbo going into limp mode now and then, my local (and trusted) garage tried for weeks to resolve so I could try and get dealer to fix. They could not pin point exactly after loads of sensor checks, plugging into machines doing stuff with pipes etc (yes you can tell I'm not technical) Well eventually the turbo totally failed Arrrgggg the warranty would not pay out too!!! Had that extensively and properly repaired (same as exchange part really) my local garage fitted it but now it still has a problem Now its lower end power, the car struggles to pull to 2000rpm in lower gears as turbo does not kick in however if I drive more aggressively (i.e. rev at starting off much higher) it pulls very well as the turbo works To be honest its driving (well not really driving!) my wife and I nuts some sensors and solinoids have been replaced loads of pipes rechecked lots of time plugged into machines It has been in the garage since September so as you can see I've been VERY patient To cut it short I NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE Cheers :31: Carl
  2. Hi Guys I recently bought a 2002 Galaxy 1.9TDI and its been a pain since we took it from the garage The main problem is the turbo (I notice loads of post on this subject) The car has a new turbo and intercooler weeks before it was put in as a part-ex Our problem is the turbo stops working and goes into limp mode when put under pressure (e.g. hills etc) this only happens in 4th-6th gears Although if I stop turn the engine off it resets ints not very suitable or safe to do so. One thing that really confuses me and my local garage is that if I put it into cruise control it never happens even when I drive up the longest hills on Motorways duels etc Any advice would be welcome as although we like the car its either easy to fix or the dealer is having it shoved somewhere as it drives me a little crazy at times (with kids in the car!) Cheers Carl
