Turned out it was the wheel bearing.

I've got a loud rumbling noise from the front wheels, sounds a bit like having a card in your spokes. It's worse when turning right and disappears when turning left. I've tried swapping tyres but no different. It does seem to vary slightly going over bumps but is there from about 20mph upwards, I can't feel any vibration just the noise, any ideas? Ian

Just tried it and - yes it works Doh! - odd I thought it used to scroll through both 1 & 2. I'll get me coat!! Thanks Ian

Hi Had to replace the battery on a 2005 130bhp TDI Alhambra recently, ever since I only get memory 1 on the trip computer, memory 2 has disappeared althogether. I can select different functions using the button on the end of the stalk ok but it just scrolls around to memory 1 all the time. I've checked all the fuses I can find and they seem ok. Anybody have any idea how to get memory 2 back? Thanks Ian
