Was not a fraud garage was my local small garage what i always use, when i told them to replace aux plug got a confused look i had to explain to them what it was, it went in originally for a front end wobble(now repaired), but knew about the plug problems(from here),and because brother-in-law had a alhambra which he replaced the plug in. Intrestingly they said there was no fault codes showing when they replaced plug soon as i plugged vag-com in found the 5 that needed resetting.

ok will check it out, was actually a garage that fitted this so maybe shoiuld get them to follow up!!!!! So most likley it is still a problem with the glowplug yes???

yeah sorry there was 5 fault codes that where cleared, so reset then plugged in vag-com and every time engine is started registers the same fault code

Hi guys, ran vag-com and came up with code 01491 glowplug for heater 29-00 short to ground. Have fitted a new glow plug and still comes up the same. Can anybody shead any light. whitie

It's not a constant noise just a quick twang it also does it on both locks but not under driving conditions

Hi guys wonder if you can help have just bought a 05 plate galaxy tdi (130ps) and hve just noticed after a couple of weeks when i park on my drive and do a full turn on htesteering wheel, there is a twanging noise coming from ns front,it seems to do it on a left lock, it does not make this noise when driving over bumps or when going around bends/roundabouts it just seems to be when coming to a stand still. Any one had this before?? I am pretty competant on car repairs and i am hoping it is somethingi can fixmyself thankyou whitie
