Thanks for the advice we have decided to sell it but not sure what to ask for it? It also needs 2 new tyres and someone has bumped the bumper at teh rear causing minor damage, the bumper now doesn't line up by about 0.5cm on one side. Some guidance from those in the know would be great

Thanks we have checked the fuses and all are fine, so may take a look a the eires in the doors, is this an easy fix?

Just remembered 2 other points 1. footwell lights turn on and off while driving 2. hazard lights can sometimes flash 3 times while driving along 3. air con not working either, climate control panel reads nonsense when engine started and then flashes before reading correctly.

I have a 51 plate 2.3 galaxy ghia, I have a list of problems that I am assuming are electrical 1. sometimes won't start, imoboliser light in drivers door flashes. THen after a few attempts the light stops flashing and the car starts? 2. Open passenger door behind the drivers and the hazzard lights flash. Then when you close the door the lights flash and the front electric windows open! 3. Front electric windows will operate somes days and not others 4. clock has stopped working 5. Mileage is currently recorded but when you turn engine off the trip mileage resets itself? 6. Central locking has stopped working so can shut all doors excet drivers manaully, the boot remains open and the petrol cap will not open without force? any ideas what is causing all of these problems? What costs am I looking at to get it fixed or should I look at selling this as a repair job, if selling what should I ask for it, it also needs 2 new tyres? The car has 115,000 on the clock also has 9 months mot on it.

Our 51 plate ford galaxy has started doing odd things the latest is that when I shut the passenger door behind the driver the front windows open automaticaly. The all windows are electric and have also taken to only operating when they feel like it, with no air con working too it is not funny in hot weather. Any ideas on what is causing this?

Further to my post, I have just got in the car after driving all day with the windows shut and the windows are now working. I am sure my car has a mind of its own!!

My air con compressor has died and needs replacing, I have found a supplier that will supply to me but can it be fitted easily or must it be done by a trained proffesional? Plus to add to my troubles my electric windows have all decided to stop working today!! Have checked the fuse but all fine there so where to look next? Thanks
