I'm thinking or ordering the official Ford dog guard for my new Galaxy which arrives in a few weeks time. I don't suppose anyone has any pictures of how the mountings look installed on the head linings?

Hi Folks I finally got around to buying a Galaxy! It's coming in a few weeks time. Could anyone comment on the best bike rack to use with a retractable tow bar on the Galaxy? I see mention of Thule racks I was wondering if they are OK on a retractable tow bar, and which model number people have found works well for them?

A friend at work has purchased a new Fiesta. I plugged my iphone into the USB port in the Fiesta. The ipod on the iphone does not work. To be fair Ford don't list the iphone as a supported product, but I wish that would work ;)

What's with the perforated leather? Why can't we have non perforated leather? What's it like to clean? Does it wear well?

I've just been looking at the What Car website. The article from June 2009 regarding the JD Power Survey puts the Galaxy at the bottom of the MPV class. However it doesn't really seem to distinguish between the different models of Galaxy. Considering the Galaxy comes bottom of the class why did you buy a Galaxy? What persuaded you to buy the Galaxy over other MPV's? If you sold your Galaxy why did you sell it? What MPV do you own if you don't own the Galaxy and why? This forum is great because there are members who have sold the Galaxy and own other MPV's, so I thought it would be great to have one thread to talk about comparisons.

Be interested to know what you paid and from where, since I'm still in the market for second hand Galaxy.

Are they run flat tyres or normal?

Still in the market for a MKIII Galaxy. I'm probably going to go for a used vehicle. Like most people I'll be buying this because of a growing family. I've never had a DVD player in any car I've owned before. I've got a few questions which I was wondering if people could give me their views on. How practical is it to fit your own system to a MarkIII Ghia? Is any of the wiring already in the vehicle? I assume to fit the headrests with the inbuilt screen some wiring comes through the seats, which would not be there to use? How good is the factory fitted system? I guess that the passengers in the third row seats can't see the screens in the headrests? So is it better to try and fit and overhead drop down screeen? Is the factory fitted option good? What experience do people have with it? Is it reliable?

I notice that the Ghia comes with the "Rear compartment air conditioning" as one of the extras. I'm interested to know if people who find the Aircon and Heating to be poor own the Ghia or not?

Thanks Neily. It does actually clearly say on the Ford website that the panaromic roof has the sun blinds but I'd missed that, but obviously it's a good thing on a very sunny day. I'm glad the actual roof doesn't rattle and squeak, the overhead locker makes a little more sense. If I buy a Galaxy and get that problem I will come back to you for a fix if you don't mind. I will carry on the discussion regarding the air conditioning in the existing thread on the subject, because I have more questions on the subject.

Thanks Gregers. I wonder how much hotter it makes the vehicle? I'm thinking on a hot sunny day do people want the sun beating down on them if the aircon can't keep the interior cool. I hadn't seen any posts to suggest they squeak and rattle, but now you've said it I get even more bad feelings about the design and build quality of these vehicles. :)

Hi folks Hi to all of you. My first post on here, seems a good forum. I have a growing family and I need to trade up to buy an MPV so obviously the Galaxy is a consideration. One question I have to start concerns the panaromic roof. A review I read suggested this is a nice option because it can get a bit dark in the back of such a big vehicle. However after reading this forum some of you guys don't seem to think much of the performance of the air con. So if the air con is not up to scratch would it be perhaps best to avoid turning the vehicle into a greehouse on wheels? Interested to hear your thoughts.
