Hi, I'm hoping that someone on this forum can help me.... I have a Galaxy 2.3 Ghia 2003. On Monday driving home it went to stall twice in third gear. I stopped at the shops, started the car and 100 yrds down the road it just cut out. I couldn't restart the car and the AA were called. The AA said that the earth lead to the battery was corroded and temporarily fixed it. He also said that the immobiliser would need resetting but that I could get around this by removing the second fuse on the left (Orange number 5) for a minute, replacing and then the car would start. The car started on Tuesday twice. Tried to start car yesterday, no joy. Does not even attempt to start. AA called again. Tested battery and got engine to turn over using cables in engine compartment. Could not get car to start using the key. Even when taking out the fuse, leaving it for one minute and then replacing the car would not start. AA towed car to independant garage. Garage disconnected battery, reconnected battery and car started but then cut out. They have disconnected battery, left it overnight, reconnected and still the car will not start. They are saying that this could be the ECU (this sounds expensive!!) although they do not have the diagnostic tools to confirm this. Having looked at a number of posts on this board do you think that this is related to relay 30? Or should I pay to get the car towed to a Ford dealer? Help
