Are you member of a recovery service - e.g. The AA of The RAC as they have a tool which removes the locking nut, if not, then try Halfords or a motor factor. EDIT: PS, whereabouts exactly are you? Dartford Kent m8

Got a flat for the first time havent got the tool to remove flower shape locking nut any advice appreciated cheers

There is an interlock that prevents the engine from starting when NOT in park or neutral. This switch is also connected to the lock button on the gear shift. The engine won't start if you are holding the button in. My Auto sometimes won't start and I just press and release the button on the gear shift and hey presto! all is ok. Suppose I really ought to investigate the switch! You can take the cover off the gear-shift housing and find the switch in there. I once replaced the bulb that illuminates the selected gear that is also down there - it wasn't too hard to dismantle. I think I started by removing the gear-shift knob with an allen key, and went on from there. I think I removed the ash tray too - but it was quite a while ago.... check relay 30 worked for me mate

Have you checked your glow plugs???

had to new keys recoded just got the relay out so who knows lol

hi rob please state model mk1,2,3 etc auto/manual does the car start for 3 secounds and die have you dropped your keys and lost damaged the chip door flashing most probably is the pats key checker the easy way is if you have access to a fault checker obd2 1999 galaxy 2. auto zetec car tries to fire up but no spark had 2 new keys recoded but i need to know what relay 30 refers to as my relays only go up to number27

Please help i need to no wat this relay relates to as my relays just go up to no 27 car trying to start but not sparking up,led light on car door flashing for a minute ANYONE PLEASE

Our galaxy does not have relay number 30, in our manual our relay for engine immobilisatin system is no R14, is this the same as everyones relay 30? Our door led keeps flashing for a minute then goes off but the engine wont turn over. Had immobiliser checked and thats ok apparently, any ideas?relay 27 is the fuel supply manual cut off is this the one i need to change???
