Most child car seats now use standard seat belts to secure them in place, but another option is looking around for a spec which has integrated child seats (middle row, either side) as this can save the hassle of buying seperate seats/booster seats and hassle of securing them in place).

No expert, but I have had this happen to me last year and it turned out to be the Air Flow Mass Meter....

Hello, I am Catherine - mum to 4 and we have a few VW's at home. Firstly we have a VW G40, then we have a VW Phaeton and then there is MY car - the VW Sharan 1.9tdi SE.

Bought SAS, so stuck with it.

They have a VW Sharan (bought last week) and now it isnt working - here is what she said to me: 'At present she won't go into reverse, gear box oil is pouring out (when the engine was hot smelled like burning cats pee ) if you rev her in neutral or parked she tries to move forwards and when driving she is fine til she gets warm then won't slip up and down between her gears just get high revs where she's stuck between gears etc. Hope some of that makes sense. ' it is a 1.9 1999 model if that helps?
