I wouldn't say it's anymore than 6 mm but it's definately over. I take it the best way to lower the level would be to take out the sump plug. Thanks for the advice.

I have a 2.3 petrol that seems to have a leak from the front of the sump, the oil level is showing over full by quite a bit. I have only just bought the car and not sure if it has an overflow or not. Can anyone help please???? Thanks
