  1. Hi All Just tried it and it definately doesnt fit Bugger Thanks for help guys It does not fit in the metal bit or the wiring socket, the one I got today was green with this part 1J0 945 511 D, and I believe Audi may call it 1J0 945 511 arwd. I got both they look and fit good however they are not doing what they suppose to be dowing for me. Thx
  2. Thanks Bkey, I should try that, it still does not explain why with the new switch not home in the metal (loose) it didn't lit up the brakes. Any fuses involved in the circuit? ( the part number is the same I got from both dealers when I showed them the old black switch both the pulled the newest green switch).
  3. What I have done with the first switch is I unplugged the wiring and removed it from the metal hole, plugged it back so the plunger is loose yet still no lights at the back. if I plug the old one inside or ouside the metal hole the lights are on permanently. Now I have it with a second new switch in the metal hole sitting nicely doing nothing whether the pedal is pressed or not, no brake lights at all.
  4. I have a Gal 04 TDI Zetec, about three weeks ago I had the abs light on the dashboard all time on then eventually it disapeared without me doing anything. This week I have a flashing glow plug light on the board and no brake lights at the back, after searching the forum and FAQ, I have replace the brake light swtich twice, ( the first one from Frod I thought it was not good, then I bought a second one from Audi (the four pins) When I installed the switch as per the FAQ, it goes int he metal hole/slot easily I didn't have to force it or break anything the only thing I noticed on the FAQ it say trun it anti- clockwise to put it home, mine went it clockwise (it should not be an issue I know it's sitting very confortably) So 2 new switches and still no brake light however if i put the old brake switch back in the brake lights are on all time whether i press the brake pedal or not (including the hight brake light on the tailgate). Is there s dedicated fuse for this switch. Vagcom gave me this erro with the old switch: Brake switch (F) Implausible signal :D :46:
  5. Sorry got extremely busy with sorting another car for my daily travel, the Gal is still down, If I bump it starts but very poorly, still no power as if I am running on second gear all time. I have purchased a diagnostic cable and looked everywhere to fit it in the GAL, I can't see where it goes unless I have purchased the wrong connector. I am more inclined to Seatkid answers but I need to run the diag if i find where to plug it. I was looking in the fusebox and around it.
  6. Dear all, I have a R reg GAL Diesel 1.9 Aspen, which has been running for a good 2 years without any issues, lately it start cutting out and in, i don't feel any power at all, now it's hardly sarting when it starts it throughs whitish smelly smoke and it feels like it's running on 2 or 3 cylinders. I have changed the fuel filter, remove the MAF and change the ignition barel as per some local electrical and I have also replaced relay 100. Nothing has changed since still very hard to start and I don't feel any power int he beast. I have been reading in the forum for a little while I see that relay 30 maybe the cause however I can't find relay 30 on my car. the space for it is there but nothing in it. I am just wondering how did it work all along without it, and what do I do now, shall i but one?
