Does anybody know how to remove the plastic fuse cover on a 03 galaxy so that I can get at the fuses. It seems welded into place and i don't want to break it to get at the switches

I've recently converted my 2003 galaxy to run on gas. Unfortunately this has dispalced the spare wheel which is huge. Does any body out there know wheter I can use a space saver wheel as a spare. Do fords do one for the galaxy or can one be used from say a focus or some other car. I really don't want to chance my luck with a repair kit.
