  1. cheers quys think we found the problem they reckon dodgy battery tested 52% so now replaced so we got our fingers crossed for tomoz morning they said it was the amps have halfed from 480>280
  2. hi got into my car once again this morning for the kids run and have problems starting when you turn the key the starter will engage and turn but snow then will cut out and nothing will happen for a minute or so and will either do it again or will start but its doing my head in and dont know where to look first please help cheers Simon B) its not the first time it has happend as it happens all the time even before the cold weather ooops sorry its a 2.3 petrol
  3. thanks seatkid and vince its all sorted all it was is the wire on the battery had come disconnected and fell down behind the battery but i was looking at the wrong wire to start as there are 2 red black wires in that connector butt im well happy its all sorted...... cheers quys youve been a great help Simon
  4. ok thanks i will try that and no me and electrics dont get on lol but just on to this the red with black stripe looks like it goes via the ignition switch is this where it gets its live feed or is it straight from the battery cheers seatkid you are being a great help simon
  5. hi all ive only been able to trace this red with black stripe wire to the ignition switch but the only one coming form the battery goes straight into the gem module and most of the wires in the connector block for the indicators all seem to have negative feeds, and just so im not getting confused im checking via multi meter with my red lead onto perm live then with my black lead testing the other wires on the block connector and this is when i get my readings if i do this the other way round with the black to earth and using red to test the wires nothing happens cheers quys simon
  6. ive also checked fuse 55 and im getting a negative feed from it not positive is this normal or is this a short? thanks simon
  7. not really sure!! ive now replaced multi-function control module (gem) 3 times light switch as im told that this also sends power to the gem and the stalks and all the relays and checked all the fuses and still getting no where cheers simon
  8. hi i need some help regarding my 99 ford galaxy, i have no indicators,no hazards,no intimitant wipers,no remote central but i have chaged the stalks and changed the multi-function control module 3 times but im not sure what else it could be im not sure if the ecu controls that module im just completly cofused with it and need help
