Hi All, I need some help my Air con has stopped working I have a 2003 1.9tddi Ghia climate control in the front. I had it re-gassed last week as it wasn't getting cold. the Man at quik fit said it's full of gas but not getting cold. Took it to a friend of mine who check all the fuses and relays and tells me they are all fine. the compressor appears to work properly as the clutch stops spinning when the control panel is off and starts to spin when you turn it on...and yet no cold air. high pressure side gets warm but not hot and the low side stays at ambient temperature.. Any thoughts please help Russ1

Climate control now fixed and fully functioning. turns out it was a pressure switch mounted up inside the drivers side wing. easy to fix but not easy getting the part. ford no longer make the switch had to get one from VW who told me that the part had changed numbers. if it helps anyone the original number is 1J0 959 126 the new number is 1K0 959 126B

Well I'll let you know what it is I've booked it in to have it's faults read i'll keep you posted Thanks for the suggestions

Help, that's all I seem to ask on this site..lol I need some advise on my 2003 galaxy 1.9tdi duel climate control the air con unit does not work. originally I had one of the pressure switches changed with no luck. Had a professional check the system and have been told that the system is fully gassed and when he put a live feed on the compressor everything got cold. he has told me there is no power coming from the controls.. your help if you can is. Is the feed from the flashing unit under the stereo or from another part of the system I don't know about yet?.. Many thanks in advance

That was my next try. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything first. I'll run a couple of bench tests first just to make sure then go for the open heart surgery last..

panel1.bmpyeah it's the right region. But I can't get the dvd in the player it's the slot type and I can't insert the dvd. It lights up the menu on the screen show's the dvd's there just can't seem to get a dvd in the slot. it's getting power the fuses have been changed, I've tried it with the ignition on and the radio off, the ignition off and the radio on, I've tried it with both the ignition and the radio on and just to make sure with the engine running as well...lol . I have hit a brick wall at the moment. If it help's i've attached a photo I know the screen button is missing. I do have the proper remote control for it as well

Sorry yes when I call up the menu on screen I have the option of DVD or AUX, I can also press the DVD button on the menu and it will bring up a blue DVD icon in the corner of the screen. But I can seem to get a DVD in. I'm a little confused by it as it appears to light up as well but beyond that there is nothing from the player at all..

I need some help I have recently bought a galaxy with the visteon multimedia pack in it. 2 screens in the head rests, but the dvd player does not seem to work, everything else does the screens work and if i plug a PS2 in that all work perfectly. I have checked and there appears to be power getting to the unit. I have changed the fuses and checked the wiring. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they solved it and 2 if the DVD player is broken is there a viable alternative to replace the visteon MB-8000 and if there is where can I get one.. thanks
